Associate Director, Multiple Sclerosis Marketing Can be located in Mo, CA or NJ

Responsible for marketing efforts for Multiple Sclerosis. The person in this position will lead the marketing strategy, ensure cross functional tactical implementation, and will be accountable for top line net revenues for MS.

This position requires a thorough background in marketing, inclusive of developing and implementing financial based brand plans, along with successful implementation of promotional levers as defined by positive, benchmarked ROI metrics. It also requires a proven ability to influence senior colleagues and lead cross-functional teams across all segments of the business. (e.g. finance, PRC, sales)

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Lead the MSmarketing strategy for while assisting with consumer strategy and the tactical plan for the FY16 planning period
Lead MS tactical implementation, consisting of a marketing budget of +$15M
Assist with consumer planning and tactical implementation, inclusive of patient programs, direct-to-patient campaigns, etc.
Lead MS team members to develop, track, and assume accountability for key performance metrics
Manage A&P budget and expenses, ensuring that resources are utilized effectively efficiently and compliantly
Lead AOR relationship to ensure accountability of timelines. Ensure tactics and resources are applied creatively and efficiently
Lead KOL interactions and speaker program strategy and implementation
Lead and interact with legal, compliance, medical, PR, finance, and gov’t affairs teams to reinforce alignment and productivity toward MS objectives
Develop, implement, and measure marketing initiatives and use this data to inform budget planning for the next fiscal year

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

Education:

Bachelor’s Degree required; Advanced Degree preferred.

Experience:

Minimum of 10 years of combined Sales and Marketing experience in the Healthcare industry MSExperience Preferred Immunology or Autoimmune.

Preferred Skills/Qualifications:

Proven track record of success evident through increasing roles of responsibility. Strong presence for interaction with Sr. Leadership in and outside the organization

Specialty biopharmaceutical company that helps patients with serious, difficult-to-treat autoimmune and inflammatory disorders. Currently, we are supporting research in a number of rare conditions, including in treatment-resistant patient populations, where there is significant need for better therapeutic options.

The incumbent is responsible for developing and executing efforts for in-line product marketing under the direction and leadership of senior marketing management. This position will work with field sales, vendors and product team members to develop and execute results-oriented, highly effective marketing initiatives for our key promoted product.

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing all aspects of product marketing for key promoted branded product in RA.The candidate will be accountable for developing and executing highly effective, results-driven marketing initiatives to maximize product opportunities and revenues in RA.

Responsibilities:

Provides leadership and maximizes RA marketing plan execution to achieve product and corporate objectives. This will include the following:

Develop and implement annual business & marketing plans, providing optimal financial return.
Utilize primary and secondary market research to identify key customer and market insight to drive performance.
Develop and manage strong relationships with key opinion and physician advisory board members.
Develop and manage key advocacy group relationships.
Effectively interact with sales leadership to maximize impact with target customers.
Participate on multi-disciplinary teams to provide perspective on cross-functional issues (i.e. Market Research, Clinical Development, Medical Affairs, Sales, Reimbursement).
Successfully plan and execute programs at National and Regional Sales Meetings to drive brand objectives and maintain a highly motivated sales team.
Effective and efficient utilization of agencies, vendors and outside consulting expertise.
Manage allotted budget at or below plan while maximizing effectiveness of resources and funds.
Manage the selection, compensation, appraisal, coaching and feedback, training, developmental process for product managers within his/her department.
